The City of Forsyth remains under a Boil Water Advisory due to a water main break.
According to a release from the city, a utility contractor broke the 8” water main that runs parallel to Coy Avenue around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.
An updated release from the city Tuesday evening indicated the break had been fixed and customers without water or very low water pressure were beginning to see pressure come back up.
Officials state the water system is being flushed and chlorinated and will be tested twice before the advisory is lifted.
Areas along Highway 160 including downtown along with Forsyth Schools are among the areas impacted.
