The Arkansas Department of Health has issued several Boil Orders for the region including water customers in Boone, Madison, and Newton Counties.
A water main break is listed as the cause of Boil Orders that impact all customers of the Compton and Jasper Waterworks systems as well as for Bergman Waterworks customers on Nita Lane and East Newton County Water customers north of Ben’s Branch.
Meanwhile, a water line break and storm damage is listed as the cause of a Boil Order issued for some areas near the Benton County Line including Harmony Road.
Customers in all of these areas need to boil water for one minute prior to consumption or using for cooking. Any ice cubes made previous to the boil order needs to be discarded and replaced with one’s made with the boiled water.
