Some people gathering to celebrate Christmas around Flippin may need to boil water before using.
The Arkansas Department of Health has issued a Boil Water Order for parts of the Flippin Waterworks System thanks to a main break that occurred on Tuesday.
The health department release indicates that the impacted customers are from the intersection of Arkansas State Highways 202 and 178 out to address 6321 and the customers on County Roads 7050, 7051, 7052, and 7074.
Customers in the impacted areas advised that water may be unsafe for consumption and should be boiled for at least one minute before drinking or using in food preparation. Ice made prior to the boil order should be discarded and new ice made from the boiled water.
