A woman has been arrested for the attempted murder of her roommate.
According to court documents, 29-year-old Jennifer Tinnin of Berryville is charged with first-degree attempted murder, arson, and first- degree criminal mischief after she is alleged to have set fire to the house of her roommate. The victim has several medical conditions according to the probable cause affidavit and would have difficulty escaping.
According to the court records, Tinnin is alleged to have set off some fireworks in the house then left. A passerby and later a Berryville Police Officer helped the victim escape the fire. A later recording of a conversation between Tinnin and her boyfriend currently in the Carroll County Detention Center has the duo talking about the arson.
Tinnin is also wanted on other charges according to court records for a separate incident. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
