Two area fire departments team-up to free a person trapped in a vehicle.
The release and photo is from the Bergman Volunteer Fire Department:
Early Friday morning, our department was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident on Tarkiln Road. A Jeep had left the roadway and struck a piece of Windstream heavy equipment, pinning the occupant inside. A passing citizen noticed the crash and called it in — and at this time, it’s unknown how long the driver had been trapped prior to the call.
We want to extend a sincere thank you to Harrison Fire Department for their quick response and expert work in extracting the driver from the vehicle.
The driver sustained injuries and was transported to NARMC for treatment.
We appreciate the teamwork from all responding agencies and the community member who stopped and reported the incident. Please continue to stay alert while traveling, especially during early morning hours.
