Authorities Search for Missing Teen in Douglas County

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing teen.

According to a post on the department's Facebook Page, Amber Townsend was last seen at her residence in Ava on Saturday. Amber Townsend is 14 years old, black hair, green eyes, and was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt, black leggings, and black boots.

Anyone knowing her whereabouts or believed to have seen her is asked to contact the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at 417-683-1020, 417-250-2320 or 911.
