HARRISON, Ark. (Nov. XX, 2024) – The Arvest Foundation recently announced a $5,000 donation to North Arkansas Transportation Service (NATS).
The grant will help provide two automated external defibrillator (AED) units for the NATS offices in Harrison and Mountain Home.
Arvest associates joined Scott Copeland, president of Arvest Bank – North Arkansas, at the NATS offices in Harrison and Mountain Home offices to present each location with a $2,500 check to NATS Executive Director Jack Chisum.

“NATS provides an important service to our communities,” said Copeland. “We look forward to seeing this organization’s continued efforts to provide more accessible transportation throughout Baxter and Boone counties.”
North Arkansas Transportation Service is a public transportation service funded by the Federal Transit Administration. Rural Public Transportation Agencies such as NATS are operated for the public, and there are no restrictions to ride.
“These units will not only benefit our drivers while they are in the office, but we might be able to save a life at another location,” Chisum said. “I hope we never have to use these units, but it is a good feeling to know that we have them if we ever need them.”
