Arkansas Legislature Meets in Special Session for Redistricting

Arkansas Lawmakers are returning to Little Rock this week for a Special Session to work with the redistricting of the state's Congressional Districts.

A release filed by the Arkansas House of Representatives with additional reporting from KTLO states that several proposals have been put forth by legislators and been reviewed by the Senate and House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committees. Those committees met again on Monday to further review the proposals with the entire state legislature being called into Special Session Wednesday to consider the proposals. 

The redistricting process was delayed this year due to the delay in getting the final Census Numbers due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
