This week is Arkansas Farmers Market Week, according to Carrie Richter.
Richter appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Wednesday to discuss it. She said the Arkansas event focuses on and celebrates farmers markets. The goal is to raise awareness and excitement about these markets. The hours for the local market are different.
The market hours changed due to demand. It's open on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The farmers market is open from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday. She said this helps people who work during the day.
Richter encouraged people to enter for prize drawings. Anyone wanting to enter must like the market's Facebook Page and comment on the postings. The prizes come from market members.
The full interview with Richter is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
