Two weeks after Tropical Storm Francine sent some rain through the Lakes Region, another tropical storm may do the same at the end of this week.
National Weather Service and Ozarks First Forecasters say that a storm projected to become Hurricane Helene will make landfall in the Florida Panhandle on Thursday. The storm will turn to the west and may interact with an upper air disturbance to send rain from the east into the Ozarks.
Forecasters currently say one to three inches of rain is possible Friday into Saturday with the heaviest rain potential east of Highway 65 in both Arkansas and Missouri.
