More maintenance work is scheduled this week for the highway over the Bull Shoals Dam.
According to a release from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock Office, Arkansas Highway 178 over the dam will close at 6:30 am on Tuesday and remain closed until 5:00 pm on Thursday. The closure is to deploy and remove equipment needed to perform the maintenance on the dam.
The closure has been coordinated with local emergency and law enforcement agencies according to the release.
Motorist needing to get to areas on the other side of the dam between the towns of Bull Shoals and Lakeview will need to detour through the towns of Midway, Gassville, and Flippin.
