For the third time this month, a minor Earthquake has been recorded in Northern Arkansas.
Like the previous two quakes, the one recorded Saturday evening just before 6:30 was in northwest Marion County near the Boone County line southeast of Diamond City. According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake was a magnitude 2.4 on the Richter Scale.
Two other quakes were reported in that same area on July the 8th and 17th.
According to the USGS, quakes of magnitude 3.0 or lower are not usually felt by people but quakes registering between 2-3 might be felt by those close enough to the epicenter and without a lot of other external noises interfering.
The USGS asks anyone that felt the quake to report if via their website.
