The National Weather Service has extended the Heat Advisory for Saturday.
Once again, Barry, Stone, and Taney Counties in Missouri and Carroll County in Arkansas are under the advisory until 8:00 this evening. Heat Index Readings around 105 are expected today.
In other parts of the region including the Harrison/Boone County area, not advisory has been issued but Heat Index Readings are still expected around 100.
A slight break in the heat is expected starting Sunday as rain chances increase, with scattered storms daily a possibility going into next week.
