Two communities in northern Arkansas decided on elected municipal positions Tuesday in the state’s Runoff Election.
The Boone County Clerk’s Office reports Charlie Pierce garnered nearly 72% of the vote in defeating Austin Wilson for the Ward 3 Position 1 Harrison City Council Seat. Pierce will succeed Liz Darden who did not seek re-election.
Meanwhile the Marion County Clerk’s Office reports to KTLO that the Bill Stahlman, Jr. will be the new Mayor for the City of Bull Shoals. Stahlman garnered 53% of the vote in defeating current Mayor Carol Duss, who had been appointed to the position in the spring.
The results of the election are unofficial until certified by the County Election Commission which will be done within the next week.
