The City of Branson has issued a proclamation declaring Amateur Radio Appreciation Week.
The Proclamation, in conjunction with an upcoming special event conducted by the Tri-Lakes Amateur Radio Club, was presented to club representatives at last week's Branson Board of Aldermen Meeting.
The local club will participate in the 2024 American Radio Relay League Field Day coming up this Saturday. The club will set up a temporary station across at Doug Baker's State Farm Insurance office on Branson Landing Blvd. this Saturday from 12:00 to 6:00 pm. The Public is invited to come by that day to learn about Amateur Radio Equipment and Technology and how to get involved in becoming a "HAM" Radio Operator.
More information is available on the Facebook Pages of the City of Branson and the Tri-Lakes Amateur Radio Club.
