Alpena Freedom Fest Coming This Month

The City of Alpena will once again be the site of a celebration of American Independence.

Jody Marshall details the sixth annual "Freedom Fest" event during a visit to KHOZ's "Around the Table" Program. Marshall says that activities on June 27 at Alpena City Park will begin with the Kids Fishing Derby at 8:00 am followed in the afternoon with activities including a Car Show, Watermelon Eating Contest, Cornhole Tournament, and Bounce Houses. Food will be provided by the Alpena Volunteer Fire Department with with live music by the Massengale Brothers followed by Fireworks at Dusk.
