The early signs of drought have returned to the Lakes Region.
This week, the U.S. Drought Monitor Map indicates an Abnormally Dry level which is just one step below the first drought level. These conditions exist both in the Arkansas and Missouri sections of the Lakes Region.
While most of Arkansas remain outside of drought levels, portions of central and northern Missouri are at a Level 3 or Extreme Drought Level. Missouri Governor Mike Parson did sign an Executive Order issuing a Drought Alert for Missouri on Wednesday.
